For our make a Difference project, my peers and i formed a group to inspire the youth of the CNMI to invest in their future health by exercising. We did this by organizing games such as basketball, waterbaloon toss and tug-of-war. These activities were created to make people move even if it's only for thirty to twenty minutes. But what counted was that they moved. Our Make A Difference project not only focused on exercising but also on Diet. There was a distinct emphasis on what the consequences will be if a person were to exercise but their diet was unhealthy. The consequences were usually health diseases.
Overall, I believe that the project did a pretty good job even though it was only a few people whom we reached out to. If we were to do this type of project again what i would do differently is add a whole variety of games and activities so that people can try something new. What i wouldn't change are my peers because they did an awesome job.
